“…have you ever been to Denver on a Tuesday?“ American Aquarium are a rock band with country luck. They were raised on small town hymns, their women lie and cheat, they drink a lot of whiskey, and their parents are disappointed in their decisions. Their lives consist of driving 23 hours from one town to …
The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Reunion Tour is something I have been excited about ever since the rumors of Brian Wilson’s involvement started flying around. My excitement built to an unexplainable level in the days leading up to last night’s Red Rocks performance. I found myself consuming everything I could about this band, with an …
Living less than 15 minutes from the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre is one of the major advantages of living where I do, but it’s also the reason I find myself at quite a few shows I would not have attended otherwise. In fact, I doubt I would have been at even half of these events …

There was a short time in my life, between 1994 – 1996, where going to ‘parties’ meant going to a warehouse, a desert or someone’s home — any place that was filled with ecstasy and loud electronic music. The ‘parties’ would be promoted via flyers, and the locations would be kept secret until the last …

While the opening acts were thrashing away, threatening to exceed ‘safe’ decibel levels, and mashing vocal …
Van Halen’s 2012 Tour is an event that has been highly publicized, therefore I am not going to give you the play-by-play of what went down at the Pepsi Center last night. If you want that, I’m sure there will be plenty of other sites where you’ll find that information. What follows here is my …
The Heritage Hunter Tour brought three metal heavyweights back to Denver on Monday night. The sea of black shirts could be seen migrating down Colfax to the Fillmore Auditorium before the sun began to set. With a start time of 7:00pm printed on the tickets, those familiar with the Satanic stylings of Swedish revivalists Ghost …

Saturday turned out to be one of those days when I truly feel for those who do not live in Denver, Colorado. The morning started out in line for Record Store Day at Twist & Shout. This was my third RSD at my favorite mile high record store and once again the crowd was much …

London musician/producer Aaron Jerome brought his masked alter-ego SBTRKT to Boulder last night. Along with his partner in crime, lyricist Sampha, SBRTKT did exactly what you would expect him to do — he turned the nearly sold-out Fox Theatre into a sweltering dance party resembling the UK garage scene that help spawn this brand of electronic …
